At the Associate Faculty Academy lunch last week (EvCC campus), the second face-to-face meeting of the cohort group included lunch with mentors to support associate faculty in preparing for their student evaluations. The new faculty learned how to complete their forms, which includes linking the CLOs (Core Learning Outcomes) from their class to the objectives of the evaluation form. The mentors spend approximately half of the meeting with their mentees (about 2 hours). The conversations which emerge from these meetings are filled with encouragement and positive affirmations.
